Caroline lives on the western edge of Dartmoor, not far from the Devon and Cornwall border of the river Tamar. She has two married sons and five little grandsons who are bundles of fun.

She enjoys a wide range of hobbies and interests: Cake decorating, cookery, sugarcraft, various arts and crafts including sketching, painting and calligraphy. Also, knitting, crochet and sewing, and of course writing. A committed life long learner, she loves learning and using new skills. She went to university as a mature student, initially to study for a Cert Ed, and stayed on graduating with a BA (Hons) and finally an MA (Post Compulsory Education), which fuelled her passion for learning and nurtured the constructive writing habit.

Throughout her working life she had a variety of careers: working in hotel and catering, financial services, teaching in adult education as a tutor and e-tutor, and freelance experience as a virtual assistant.

Widowed  in 2014, she now feels lucky to have a new love in her life and wants to focus on writing, arts and crafts, live life with purpose and strive for new goals, and spend quality time with her family. In addition, she hopes to revive her love of travelling to a variety of exotic and interesting locations and work at getting some dreams off her Bucket List – Coronavirus control allowing πŸ˜·πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Ž

Caroline loves where she lives, in a very pretty, characterful market town, in the beautiful south west of England. She also recognises the benefit of visiting new places, which can sometimes be inspirational. However, it’s spending extended periods elsewhere that has made her realise just how much she loves home, where she feels comfortable and content, whether the sun shines or not; as the old adage advises, make the familiar unfamiliar to see it with new eyes πŸ™‚
